Backyard House

Backyard House is a total renovation of a 1,606 sq ft house. This project is located on a very large lot with the house situated on the street to provide an extensive back yard. The project vastly improves on the connection between the house and back yard from the previous floor plan. The concept for the rear facade is to extend the back yard to cover the house, so when inhabiting the back yard the house is only a series of window and doors: not typical reading of a building can be found. Others aspects of illusion will become the living room. This provides a typical reading of the house from the street but then when traveling through the house to the backyard, you are transported into a 360 degree lush garden.
